So many wines.....so little time. You reached the point where you know you love red wine. You would love to continue to find other great reds, but don't really know where to start?....That's why Josh and I decided to host a wine tasting with some wine experts. This promises to be a fun and information filled event. The cost is $55 per person or $100 per couple. The wines that we will sample are second to none and additional bottles will be on hand if you wish to purchase.
This is the tasting you have been looking for. We will start with light, full bodied Pinot Noir. One of the most "parable" wines, Pinot's fresh strawberry, and smooth tannins finish with exactly with right acid to make most foods come alive. We then move to Tuscan Rosso or Red. The grape is Sangiovese, the king of great Brunello DiMontelcino and Chiantis. From Burgundy to Tuscany , we then move back to France's Rhone River Valley . The Rhones include Syrah and Grenache.....the main varietals of Chateauneuf-du-Pape our next great wine. No tasting would be complete without going "Down Under" for some great Australian Shiraz. We will finish with the king of red grapes, Cabernet Sauvignon. We will discover why Napa has become the Mecca of wine lovers everywhere.
You will to decide what wine you like and why. Being able to taste and evaluate these wines at one place, at one time, you will be able to isolate the specific flavors and character of each of the worlds great reds.
